Early Intervention

Children develop at their own pace. Most achieve certain milestones such as crawling, walking, and saying their first words, around the same age. When children do not reach these milestones, parents may worry about potential development problems with their child. Suspecting delays is scary, but there is not always be a problem!

If there is a problem, Easterseals Early Intervention (EI) services are available to help a child who may have trouble reaching certain milestones. Our Early Intervention Program uses therapy services to enhance a child’s ability to interact with others and the environment; these everyday experiences and interactions are essential for optimal child development.

ESNG is the largest provider of early intervention services for children ages zero to six in the state of Georgia. By providing screening, evaluation, and treatment for children with disabilities or who are at risk of developmental delay, we have positively impacted outcomes across developmental domains, including health, language, cognitive development, and social/emotional development. Families benefit from our early intervention services by being able to better meet their children’s special needs from an early age and throughout their lives.
